A-Data XPG Plus - World's Fastest DDR3 Memory

via Gizmodo by Dan Nosowitz on 8/4/09

Not being much of a crazy overclocking modder myself, I don't really get the ridiculousFast and the Furious design on this A-Data XPG Plus RAM, but the stats don't liethis module is super speedy at 2,200MHz.

A-Data's XPG Plus Series DDR3-2200+ DRAM, aside from having a name chock full of acronyms, is the world's fastest of its kind, with a 2,200MHz clock speed. The standard 1.65V modules are available in 2x1GB and 2x2GB configurations, both with A-Data's "Thermal Conductive Technology" cooling system and paint jobs that'll make you happy RAM stays locked up inside your computer. A-Data hasn't released price or release dates, but we'll update this post with them as soon as they do.

Samsung Launches 32 GB DDR3 RAM Module

via Gizmodo by Adrian Covert on 6/18/09

Samsung yammered back in January about making a 32-gigabyte DDR3 RAM stick, and now they've unveiled the beastly piece of hardware for servers. These new 1.35-volt modules are also 20-percent faster than previous 1.5-volt DDR3 modules. Nice.

That said, Mark heard straight from Samsung who said that there's no release timetable for this thing yet, meaning it's still in development. So we probably won't see it this year.
