BMW X5

2011 BMW X5 will write the latest chapter in the story of the world's first Sports Activity Vehicle in the spring of 2010. Originally launched for the 2000 model year in late 1999, the BMW X5 permanently changed the automotive landscape. It proved that the driving dynamics, responsiveness, and linear control signature to every BMW could be compatible with utility, versatility, and other-roads capability. For 2011, the BMW X5 models are enhanced with new powertrains and updated design. The new BMW X5 will make its North American debut at the 2010 New York International Auto Show.
Innovative new design elements and powertrains are the result of over 4,000 new parts created by BMW designers and engineers for the 2011 BMW X5. Two of the X5's powertrains will be all-new for 2011, creating the new BMW X5 xDrive50i and BMW X5 xDrive35i, in addition to the familiar BMW Advanced Diesel X5 xDrive35d. All models receive a design update that enhances the brilliant focus and aesthetic appearance of the X5 brand.

Fresh Design. Well-Balanced Proportions.
The body design of the 2011 BMW X5 is characterized by well-balanced proportions that accentuate the vehicle's powerful presence and agility. A long wheelbase, short front and rear body overhangs, and large light-alloy wheels provide a visual balance between the front and rear of the vehicle. Square-shaped, carefully flared wheel arches hint at the BMW X5's all-wheel drive traction and other-roads capability. The body lines sweep upwards from the front and rear wheels, communicating BMW's near-perfect 50-50 front-rear weight distribution which is so essential to the BMW X5's legendary driving dynamic.

The extra power and high performance is derived mainly from weight optimization and an improved handmade exhaust system with valve flaps and manifolds. The full system has thermal heat protection covers. The system is adapted to an upgraded ecu that optimizes flow resulting to that tremendous extra power.

Ferrari 612 comfort

The 612 Scaglietti epitomizes Ferraris talent for innovation and design, perfectly melding a cabin capable of accommodating four occupants in comfort with the beautifully balanced body of nimble, sporty front-engined rear wheel drive Berlinetta, to offer unprecedented onboard comfort. But make no mistake about it: the 612 Scaglietti isnt just another 2+2. Its more a two-door four-seater that never feels anything less than sumptuously comfortable and roomy no matter what the driving conditions.

The curve of the wheel-arches, the bonnet, cabin and tail, in fact, lend it a beautifully aerodynamic thoroughbred grace. But what give the 612 Scaglietti a real touch of character are its scalloped sides, a styling cue borrowed from the legendary 375 MM bought by director Roberto Rossellini for actress Ingrid Bergman.

A welcomed addition to Lexus entry-luxury sedan lineup, the HS 250h fits nicely between the IS luxury sport sedan and the ES luxury sedan. Research has shown that more than 60 percent of entry-luxury car buyers would have considered a hybrid if available, and the HS will provide these consumers with a viable purchase option.

2011 Lexus GS Top Pic

Since the 450h's gasoline engine is so smooth and well-muted, and the transmission never shifts per se, with near-silent boost provided by the hybrid system's electric motors. Speed gathers quickly and often faster than you intend in normal driving. Only in lower-speed stop-and-go will you notice the transitions.
Most of the elements of a good sport sedan are here.

The 450h is a few hundred pounds heavier, so it doesn't corner quite as athletically, and as with the rest of the Lexus GS lineup, the steering could use more road feel. Brake coordination could also be a step better in the 450h. And there's one other little packaging difference because of the battery pack: a smaller trunk.
