Nu ar trebui sa fie o surpriza faptul ca filmul precursor al celor 2 productii, �Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance�, se va �bucura�, de asemenea, de un remake. Producatorul de film Lorenzo di Bonaventura a venit in urma cu putin timp in Seul cu numeroasa echipa de la filmul �G.I.Joe: The Rise of Cobra� pentru a-l promova, ocazie cu care, intr-o conferinta de presa, acesta a confirmat ca se afla in discutii cu CJ Entertainment in privinta planurilor de remake la Mr. Vengeance.

Cum proiectul este, inca, in stadiul de plan, nu au fost stabilit nici regizorul, nici actorii ce urmeaza a fi distribuiti in noul film.
