Musashi: The Dream of the Last Samurai - Trailer


Earlier this summer, there was one anime movie that was released we highly recommend to all otaku. Musashi: The Dream of the Last Samurai (????-???????-) was released 13th May 2009. Scripted by Mamoru Oshii the man who made anime like Ghost in the Shell, Patlabor and Sky Crawlers, it gained much attention in both Japan and also overseas and the anime was shown at the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival in Korea and the Locarno International Film Festival in Switzerland.

The film was directed by Mizuho Nishkubo and the excellent animation was produced by Production I.G. which also did many anime films like Ghost in the Shell movies, the Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex TV series, and Blood+.

Evangelion 1.0 Poster There was no foreseeable warning before it happened � a catastrophe of unparalleled scale and magnitude overwhelmed the entire globe. Ponyo - Trailer

�Death Note� va avea un remake realizat la Hollywood

Studioul american de film Warner Brothers a achizitionat drepturile pentru adaptarea benzilor desenate ale lui Tsugumi Ohba si Takeshi Obata, �Death Note�. Producatorii americani intentioneaza sa realizeze o ecranizare dupa aceste benzi desenate apartinand genului suspans/supranatural. In centrul povestii se afla un tanar care gaseste un carnetel in care daca scrie numele unei persoane aceasta moare. Astfel, acesta incepe o proprie cruciada impotriva criminalilor lumii, incepand un joc de-a soarecele si pisica cu autoritatile si un detectiv genial. In versiunea propusa pentru ecranizare, personajul principal e prezentat ca un student la facultate, iar povestea acopera primele 3 volume din cele 13 ale benzilor desenate.

In 2006 au aparut 2 ecranizari ale realizatorilor japonezi, care au avut un mare succes in Japonia si nu numai. �Live-action�-urile au fost urmate de o serie anime. Vestea unui posibil remake american a fost data in premiera in anul 2007, de o publicatie din Malayezia, care spunea ca mai mult de 10 companii americane si-au exprimat interesul pentru a cumpara drepturile. Compania americana �Vertigo Entertainment� era creditata cu cele mai mari sanse sa preia acest proiect spre realizare, Charley si Vlas Parlapanides fiind cooptati ca scenaristi. Scenaristii vor ramane, insa, in urma cu cateva zile s-a anuntat ca Warner Brothers e cea care a reusit sa achizitioneze drepturile.

In fuga lor disperata pentru salvarea unei industrii a filmului in cadere libera, producatorii americani ajung sa dea adevarate lupte pentru cumpararea drepturilor asupra unor manga japoneze care au fost un mare succes pe piata asiatica. E indoielnic faptul ca inca o versiune de film (dupa cele 2 japoneze plus anime-ul) avand la baza o poveste deja arhicunoscuta (deoarece asiaticii au invatat cum sa-si vanda produsele cel mai bine, nu mai sunt vremurile de altadata) va mai putea starni interesul cuiva. Un lucru este cert: filmul, aflat inca in stadiul de achizitionare a drepturilor, nu va avea cum sa fie terminat mai devreme de sfarsitul lui 2010.
