Vertu Void Concept Mobile Phone

via Designboom - Weblog on 8/7/09

The Vertu Void Concept by Norihiko Inoue sees the mobile phone stripped down to an almost entirely hollow criss-cross shell.

'Thanks to the advances in technology mobile phones are getting smaller and thinner each year, however phones have to be a certain size for us to hold them and look at the screen properly. In my concept most of the electronic components are incorporated into the phone's outer shell, but the size of the Vertu phone remains the same size as it is now with empty space inside.' NI

The design was created in response to the brief 'Design a Vertu Concept Product for 2015'.

No Tangible Screen For this Mobile Phone

viaYanko Designby Radhika Seth on 6/10/09

Are you over the iPhone 3G S and Palm Pre? Good, coz I got to get you prepared for the future. In ten years from now, there probably will be no war amongst manufacturers with regards to display; coz there simply will be NONE! Holograms will replace the screens! Trou Hologram Mobile Phone relies totally on 3D holograms being projected in the vacant display area. Tiny projectors line the inner surface of the hollow and bring to life the many aspects of the technology. Imagine seeing 3D maps of a particular area or your girlfriends hologram when she calls!
