By starting design of the 2011 Nissan 370Z Roadster
When lowered, it tucks away under a body-coloured hard tonneau cover which also helps to reduce wind turbulence at speed, allowing occupants of the double cockpit to enjoy fully the sounds and sensations of open air performance motoring.
Other design cues already seen on the Nissan 370Z Coupe have transferred to the Roadster. They include the distinctive boomerang LED rear and arrowhead front lights, while familiar Z features such as the vertical door handles, twin tail pipes and Z badges in the side repeaters are also present.
Inside the Nissan 370Z Roadster, the driver-focused cabin also boasts many features now synonymous with the Z, such as an engine Push Start button, floor hinged throttle pedal, centrally placed tachometer and three separate hooded dials now including an oil temperature gauge sitting centrally on the top of the dashboard and angled towards the driver.
The Nissan 370Z Roadsters roof is fully automatic with no requirement to latch it manually into place. The roof can be lowered at walking speeds and can also be operated from outside the car, by pressing and holding the door-locking button for three seconds. It takes just 20 seconds for the roof to be raised and locked into place or lowered out of sight beneath its tonneau.
The fabric hood has been given a smooth inner lining covering the frame and reducing noise levels, while the system uses a new hydraulic pump thats silent in operation in place of the electric motor used previously.
At launch, both the Coup and Roadster were highly acclaimed for their combination of excitement and style. The subtle suspension changes developed specially to meet European demands and tastes not to mention the enhanced equipment levels make the 2011 370Z more desirable than ever, said Thomas.
at the same time as work began on the Coup, Nissan designers have been able to ensure the soft-top version has a sophisticated silhouette with better, more natural, integration of the hood into the overall design.
The distinctive result echoes the Z character with a blend of sweeping curves and aggressively short overhangs while the shape of the roof itself flows more naturally into the rear of the car when the roof is in place.

Nissan LEAF
It would be easy to paint Nissan as late to the burgeoning U.S. green party, as the company essentially only counts the Altima Hybrid to sell among its alt-fuel offerings and that sedan utilizes technology borrowed from Toyota, and it's only sold in a few states in small volumes. While that may be the case, Nissan says their near-term prospects are really quite different. While the company has admittedly been cautious in marketing alt-fuel vehicles in North America, they have been hard at work developing electric vehicles as well as the advanced lithium-ion batteries to support them since 1992. What's more, officials say they are now singularly well-placed to leapfrog "transitional" powertrain solutions like gas-electric hybrids in favor of genuine zero-emissions vehicles, and they are promising that their first pure-electric car will reach U.S. shores late next year.
That car, the Nissan Leaf shown here, is the reason we find ourselves in the company's brand-new Yokohama headquarters today. Designed as a four-to-five seat, front-drive C-segment hatchback, Nissan says the Leaf is not just for use as a specialty urban runabout, but rather, it was designed as an everyday vehicle a "real car" whose 160-kilometer+ (100 mile) range meets the needs of 70% of the world's motorists. In the case of U.S. consumers, Nissan says that fully 80% of drivers travel less than 100km per day (62 miles), making the Leaf a solid fit for America's motoring majority, even taking into account power-sapping external factors like hilly terrain, accessory draw, and extreme temperatures.
We were afforded an advance look at the Leaf ahead of the car's unveiling today, and while it was a hands-off affair, we did have the chance to formulate some in-the-metal first impressions and take a deep dive into the car's technology. Click through to the jump to learn all about it.

2012 ABT Sportsline Volkswagen Tiguan
The specification book stated that the characteristics of the new Volkswagen Tiguan had to be supported. In plain talk this means that the car should have maximum reliability, enjoyable driving characteristics on almost all surfaces and agility and the engineers at ABT have done a good job: the successful 2.0 TDI version now offers strong 170 HP/125 kW (series standard: 140 HP/103 kW) or 195 HP/143 kW (series standard: 170 HP/125 kW). With the economical turbo petrol engine with 1.4 litre cubic capacity a dynamic 210 HP (154 kW) is available instead of the standard 160 HP (118 kW). The fact that the fuel consumption does not increase as a result is a matter of course at ABT Sportsline. The sportiest Volkswagen Tiguan facelift is the one with the 2.0-TSI engine. The machinery is currently undergoing extensive testing but the technicians have already revealed that depending on the series performance either over 210 HP (154 kW) or as much as 250 HP (184 kW) will be reached.
BMW Z4
Combining classic proportions with modern sportiness, the new BMW Z4 has reached the top of its market segment almost overnight. And now this charismatic roadster is entering a new dimension in driving dynamics, the new BMW Z4 sDrive35is offering an even higher standard of performance ensured both by the modified straight-six power unit with BMW Twin Turbo Technology and High Precision Injection, on the one hand, and by BMW's seven-speed Sport Automatic with double clutch operation and the M Sports Package including the adaptive M Suspension likewise featured as standard, on the other. Jaguar XKR
The Jaguar XK was the first car created entirely under the aegis of Design Director Ian Callum. Dramatic and purposeful, yet as sensuous as only a Jaguar can be, the XK now receives a number of revisions that reinforce its contemporary, assertive character.
The latest lighting technology has allowed the front headlamps to be made slimmer and at the same time incorporate LED signal functions and running lights. Combined with a larger grille and new bumper design, this gives the XK instant 'rear-view mirror' recognition. Unmistakably a Jaguar, each model in the range gains unique styling attributes that distinguish it from its siblings. Chrome mesh grilles on the XK are replaced with matt black detailing on the XKR while the flagship XKR-S receives a unique front bumper underlining its sense of purpose.
The power vent along the front wing has been altered from a vertical to horizontal design with a mesh insert. Emblazoned with the Jaguar name, it serves to emphasise the potential inherent in the XK's design. To the rear, the boot lid has been revised with a slimmer chrome finisher which allows the car to be graced by the famous Jaguar 'leaper', bringing it into line with the rest of the company's products.
Complementing the design changes are 17 paint colours, five of which are new and a range of alloy wheels that now total 11 different designs ranging in size from 18 to 20 inches. A further opportunity for owners to express their individuality is available through the 'Black Pack', now also available as an option on the naturally aspirated cars as well as the Jaguar XKR. This replaces exterior chrome with a matt black finish, complemented by 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels. On the Jaguar XKR, the package also includes body coloured aerodynamic enhancements and optional side graphics.

BMW M5 2012
The silly game of the 2012 BMW M5 renderings continues, but this time, the photoshoped images turned out to be very good. Alpina325ci, member of the forum 5post, delivers some impressive images of what the next M5 might look like.
The new 2012 BMW M5 is rumored not to be only one of the most aggressive and the fastest M to date, but to also incorporate plenty of green technology, as part of BMWs future plans and investments in the EfficientDynamics program. BMW plans to use several new technologies and a KERS system that will put the new M5 ahead of the current model, both in performance and fuel efficiency.
With the new model, BMW M Division estimates a 20%
Designed for Performance
The M5s secret has always been to remain understated and discreet on the outside, but within lies the beast. The typical M5 and BMW M aerodynamic features are featured on the car. With the new 5er central grille being much larger, the central intake size has been diminished. Wheel arches are swollen to add some mass on the F10s athletic body. A side air intake is placed underneath the character line which climaxes at the wheel arch. The side skirts are more sculptured allowing for good aerodynamics.
At the rear-end, the typical quad exhausts remain with a sculpted diffuser and central intake. A small bootlid spoiler allows the car to remain understated and restrained.
Power
The M5 will inherit a dual clutch transmission which will be unique to the M5, based upon the 7-Speed transmission currently found in the M3. 8-Speed unit will also be available and will be equipped with a stop-start control. The DCT will be operated with steering wheel mounted shifting paddles. The new M5, although not from the beginning, will also be available with optional Carbon Fiber brakes.
The 2012 BMW M5 is powered by an updated version of the engine found in the BMW X5 M and X6 M. The 4.4-liter V8 twin-scroll powerplant will peak at 578-horsepower and 530 lb-ft of torque.
The 0-62 mph dash should take about 4.4 seconds, even though we expect to see lower track times.
To keep the weight down, BMW will make extensive use of carbon-fiber and aluminum parts, starting with the a carbon-fiber roof. The cars construction will be a hybrid of an aluminum spaceframe for the front section and a traditional steel monocoque for the passenger compartment and rear. Up front will be an independent suspension with MacPherson struts, with a multi-link layout for the rear.
The new M5 will make its debut early next year.

Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
The 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 debuted at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show. It is the highest-performing Camaro and the most technically advanced car ever developed in its class. The new ZL1 continues the momentum of Camaro, propelling it into an entirely new realm of leading-edge performance technology. It is planned to launch at the beginning of 2012.
Motivated by a supercharged V-8 engine producing an estimated 550 horsepower (410 kW), the Camaro ZL1 will be the fastest Camaro ever offered by Chevrolet. And more than just power, the ZL1 features technologically advanced and highly developed chassis and suspension systems that help it deliver balanced, track-ready handling and braking power to complement its high engine output. Rigorous development of the ZL1 is ongoing, and official estimates of the cars capabilities will be released later in 2011, as testing nears completion.
Camaro ZL1 is about high-tech performance and design, and is a type of car no one has ever brought to this segment previously, said Rick Scheidt, vice president of Chevrolet marketing. Its the most technically advanced Camaro ever, so weve chosen a name from the most elite and exclusive Camaro in history.
The ZL1 name is derived from the all-aluminum racing engine of the same name, which was developed in the late 1960s and installed into a handful of regular-production 1969 Camaros. Only 69 were built with the engine, but theyve achieved mythical status among enthusiasts, as they represented the pinnacle in Camaro performance until now. The 2012 ZL1 model is designed to be a major leap forward for the Camaro, bringing a new level of performance capability to the segment.
The central goal of the cars development was creating something new a Camaro intended to reach optimal lap times on top road-racing circuits and excellent driving dynamics on the street. To achieve that goal, engineers evolved many of the existing Camaros systems, as well as incorporated new technologies such as electric power steering and Magnetic Ride Control, the worlds fastest-reacting suspension system.
Camaro ZL1s design communicates and supports its performance mission. Rather than using decorative elements, ZL1 is visually differentiated from other current Camaro models with elements vital to the cars elevated capabilities.
Everything about the ZL1s design is directly related to its technology and serious performance, especially aerodynamics, said Ed Welburn, vice president, Global Design. Our designers goal was to execute that function-oriented design with beautifully sculpted forms, creating an imposing, powerful persona. Function becomes the aesthetic. The intent is a car that delivers on the attitude it projects.
Major elements of the ZL1s design are a new front fascia and hood with air extractors, designed in tandem to create aerodynamic downforce to aid handling. The cars hood includes a signature center section constructed of carbon fiber and rendered in satin black finish. New rocker panels, wide tires, 20-inch wheels and exhaust tips portray the cars handling and power.
The ZL1 badge appears on the grille, hood and the brake calipers, all key areas portraying the technology within.
Tech overview.
Supporting the dynamic track and street performance of the ZL1 is the LSA 6.2L supercharged engine, which will produce an estimated 550 horsepower (410kW) and 550 lb.-ft. of torque (677 Nm), with specific features for the Camaro. Built on GMs legendary all-aluminum, small-block V-8 architecture, the LSA features an intercooled supercharger system, premium heat-resistant aluminum-alloy cylinder heads and other details designed to ensure its exceptional performance is delivered with smoothness and refinement. Components and design elements that contribute to the LSAs performance include:
 Balanced, lightweight reciprocating assembly
 High-strength hypereutectic pistons
Sixth-generation Eaton supercharger with four-lobe rotors
 Piston oil squirters.
Because the Camaro ZL1 uses electric power steering, the engine does not incorporate a conventional hydraulic power steering pump on its accessory drive system. This enhances performance, because no engine power is used to turn a steering pump pulley.
Camaro ZL1 is a complete high-performance car, not just a Camaro with more power. Key technical highlights include:
Transmission The high-performance Tremec TR-6060 six-speed manual is matched with the LSA engine. It is the MG9 version of the transmission, with a higher torque capacity. It is used with a dual-mass flywheel and twin-disc clutch for easy operation and shift smoothness. A new, shorter-throw shifter actuates the gear changes.
Exhaust ZL1 is equipped with a dual-mode exhaust system, which alters the sound level and character in response to engine rpm. First used on the legendary Corvette, and specifically tuned for Camaro ZL1, the dual-mode exhaust will give the car a signature sound.
Drivetrain It is revised with a stronger driveshaft and rear axle system, featuring a larger and stronger cast iron differential housing, stronger axles and heavy-duty limited-slip differential. This patent-pending system is designed to ensure that ZL1s tremendous power is delivered smoothly to the ground.
Suspension The suspension features completely revised tuning and the inclusion of segment-exclusive Magnetic Ride Control. ZL1s Magnetic Ride system will include driver selectable modes (Tour and Sport) tailored for the preferred style of driving. It uses advanced magneto-rheological science to produce shock damping with the highest level of precision, enabling body control optimized for excellent performance in everyday driving as well as track situations. This technology appears on only a small roster of some of the worlds finest performance cars. Other chassis elements are redesigned to support the cars high-performance limits. Rear stabilizer bars have drop links repositioned outboard of the control arms. This makes the bars more effective in controlling body roll in turns, with crisp response to driver commands.
Brakes and Steering Camaro ZL1 features an advanced track-capable braking system, developed in conjunction with experts from Brembo. The large 14.6-inch (370 mm) two-piece front rotors have six-piston calipers; the 14.4-inch (365 mm) rear rotors have four-piston calipers. ZL1 marks the entry of a new electric power steering system to Camaro. It is being developed to ensure precise control and feedback to the driver, with greater variability of effort for high-performance driving.
Exterior ZL1s signature from the front is the redesigned fascia and aluminum hood with a raised, carbon fiber insert. The fascia includes a front splitter and new vertical fog lamps. The fog lamp area includes air intakes designed for brake cooling. The hood features front-mounted air extractors that direct air precisely over the car. Visually, this center section, in satin black carbon fiber, communicates the cars high-performance intent as a visual contrast to the cars exterior color. Functionally, the air extractor is a key in connecting airflow closely to the bodywork, creating aerodynamic downforce. The carbon fiber center section reduces the mass of the hood. High-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps and fog lamps are standard. The rear of the car includes a diffuser and spoiler, also functional elements that enhance the cars aerodynamics.
Wheels and Tires New-design, 20-inch forged aluminum wheels, which are lighter than the 20-inch wheels used on the Camaro SS, are used with new Goodyear Supercar F2 ties developed specifically for the ZL1.
Interior ZL1 is tailored for high-performance driving. The front seats feature microfiber suede inserts. Other enhancements include a redesigned steering wheel, alloy pedals, Head-Up Display with unique performance readouts and the four-pack auxiliary gauge system featuring a boost readout.
Production details.
All of the Camaro exterior colors will be offered with the ZL1, but black is the only interior color. The unique exterior features are complemented with a black center section on the hood. Inside, the Camaro ZL1 has heated leather seats with microfiber inserts and ZL1 logos embroidered on the front headrests. Microfiber suede is repeated as an accent on the instrument panel, adding a richer look to the interior. The ZL1 will include the same content as the current 2SS package and include the following new or unique features:
Six-way power driver and passenger seats
Unique instrument panel and door panel inserts; and ZL1-logo sill plates
Steering wheel audio controls with Bluetooth capability
 Wireless PDIM and USB-port
 Boston Acoustics premium audio system
 Rear parking assist
Rear camera system (displayed in the inside rearview mirror).
Engineers have already driven Camaro ZL1 prototypes extensively at demanding road courses in the U.S. and Germany, with final testing being completed through the balance of 2011.

Toyota Hilux
The renowned Toyota Hilux continues to dominate European pick-up sales. Vehicle sales totalled 21,866 in 2010, representing almost 25% of the market share. This makes the Toyota pick-up the segment sales leader for the third consecutive year.
With the launch of the 2012 Hilux, Toyota introduces a new design and further improves the model's renowned quality, durability and reliability.
The 2012 Toyota Hilux's new interior has been extensively revised with a refined design which reinforces the pick-up's credentials as a leisure vehicle. It offers improved sensory quality throughout the cabin, and passenger car levels of convenience.
The interior features a new upper dashboard design in which a new, horizontal centre instrument cluster reinforces the breadth and roominess of the cabin. It incorporates Toyota Touch, a 6.1", full colour, touch screen multimedia unit.
Perceived quality has been significantly improved through the adoption of uniformly darker finishes with a greater colour consistency throughout the interior, and the addition of silver ornamentation.
The front of the 2012 Toyota Hilux is entirely redesigned from the A pillar forwards, with a new bonnet, radiator grille, headlamps and front bumper. The vehicle profile is further enhanced by newly designed front and rear wings, redesigned 15" and 17" steel and alloy wheels, and new door mirrors.
In order to create a stronger differentiation between 'workhorse', 'dual usage' and 'leisure' versions, the 2012 Hilux is now available in four grades: DLX, the new DLX+, SR and SR+.
Fulfilling a 'workhorse'/'dual usage' role, the brand new DLX+ grade is available with 2WD or 4WD 2.5 D-4D powertrains mated to a manual transmission in Single Cab, Extra Cab and Double Cab body styles, and with a 4WD 3.0 D-4D powertrain and manual transmission as a Double Cab only.
With a choice of three body types, two engines, manual and automatic transmission and two- or four-wheel drive, Europe's pick-up of choice now satisfies the requirements of an even wider professional and leisure customer base.
Through the introduction of variable nozzle turbocharging, 2012 Toyota Hilux 2WD 2.5 D-4D models benefit from a 24 hp increase in power. The engine now develops 144 hp at 3600 rpm and 343 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm.

The Ferrari Enzo Supercar
by: Bradley George Lindemann
One of the worlds top sports car manufacturers is Ferrari, whose symbol of a black prancing horse on a yellow shield-shaped background is perhaps one of the most easily recognizable car logos in the world. Based in Maranello, Italy, this Italian sports car manufacturer is responsible for the existence of some of the most powerful and at the same time most elegant sports cars the world has ever seen.
Every single Ferrari ever manufactured, from the 250 GTO to the 206/246 Dino, is a feat of engineering and design. One such Ferrari is the Enzo Ferrari Supercar, which was named one of the top sports cars of the new millennium by Sports Car International magazine in 2004. Named in honor of Enzo Ferrari, who founded the company in 1929, the Enzo Ferrari supercar is indeed super in many respects.
Built in 2003, the Enzo Ferrari supercar was designed using Formula One technology. Its body is made of carbon-fiber, its brake discs are carbon-ceramic, and it has an F1-style sequential shift transmission. It has 6.0-liter, 660-horsepower V-12 engine, the first Ferrari motor to have continuously variable exhaust valve timing. The Enzo engine has four valves per cylinder and a variable-length induction system.
As befitting the supercar tag, the Enzo Ferrari boasts of extremely quick acceleration. The Enzo Ferrari is capable of reaching 62.5 mph in 3.30 seconds and can accelerate to 100 mph in 6.60 seconds. This particular breed of Ferrari can also complete the quarter mile from a stop in approximately 11.1 seconds at 133 mph. Its estimated top speed of 217 mph is further proof of its Formula 1 heritage. So unless youre an active driver in the Formula 1 circuit, theres no way you can hit the top speed on a regular road and get away with it.
So far, the Enzo has proven to be stable when cornering. Its powerful engine, however, sometimes makes the car a bit difficult to control. Fortunately, it has rack-and-pinion power steering, pushrod actuated coil-shock units, a four-wheel independent suspension stabilized by front and rear anti-roll bars, and four Bridgestone Scuderia tires, which have been designed and tuned specifically for the Enzo Ferrari supercar.
So far, Ferrari has only produced 400 of these supercars, and only a select few have managed to acquire one. As a matter of fact, just being able to afford its US$643,330 price tag is not enough to get your hands on one. Propsective owners still have to send applications to Ferrari for the privilege of purchasing one of these supercars.
A number of famous people are or have been proud owners of an Enzo Ferarri supercar, including Nicolas Cage, Eric Clapton, Tommy Hilfiger, Rod Stewart, and of course, Michael Schumacher, the man responsible for bringing virtually countless honor for the company as the most famous Formula 1 driver for Scuderia Ferrari, Ferraris racing division.

Ferrari Enzo 2012
2012 ferrari enzo
For all food enthusiasts and wine lovers travelling to Italy no trip would be complete without a visit to the wonderful Emilia Romagna Region, Which is famous for 3 things; Prosciutto, Pavarotti, and Parmigiano Reggiano. This area which unfortunately can sometimes be left off many travelers to Italys itineraries , is the region which borders Tuscany to the North and is home to the major city of Bologna. While most of the Italian continent is covered with hills and mountains, Emilia Romagna is a region of fertile plains and booming industries.
Our trip began in the quaint city of Modena on a Friday, we checked into the Hotel Real
Fini on Via Emilia Est. Having reserved a suspiciously low-priced rate of 63 Euro per night (in June) on Venere.com, I was not anticipating much from this four star hotel. Nevertheless I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel was not only clean, stylish and well located but it also had a great breakfast!
As we only had a short stay of 2 days in the region, we wanted to get straight down to seeing the sights. Just a brief car ride from Modena is Marranello, where Ferrari cars are manufactured. We spent a very enjoyable hour at the Ferrari museum following the life and work of Enzo Ferrari through his incredible cars. Needless to say it was not the tours fault that we felt a slight pang of depression/jealousy/envy as we made our way into our very adequate Fiat to head to our next destination in our busy trip to the Emilia Romagna region.
Our next leg of the journey saw us heading back to Modena, where we decided to pay homage to another local legend: Luciano Pavarotti. His awe inspiring villa with its perpetual tree-lined driveway was just what we anticipated of the home of this billionaire opera singer. While admittedly a brief thought of trying to trespass to get a better view of the villa did cross my mind. I decided petty thuggery was not going to be part of this family vacation and so we didnt go past the gate. It was sufficient to just sit there in the sunshine with Nessun dorma playing loudly on the iPod, and envisage what it would be like to live in the same town as Pavarotti. The people of Modena appear to have mingled emotions about him recently. Once an unrivaled lyrical genius, he started to lose face among the Modenese when he separated with his wife of 36 years to marry Nicoletta Mantovani, 34 years his junior. On top of this the locals were being charged a small fortune of 300 + euro to go see one of their own preform in concert. As you can imagine the Modenese started to feel that maybe Luciano had become a bit too big for his britches. Now after passing on, it does seem that the fond memories of Pavarotti are the ones that remain and that he will live on forever through his marvelous music.
The following day we got up early and drove over to the neighboring city of Parma. It is no coincidence that the European Union has selected Parma to be the home of the European Union Food Safety Authority. This town means business when it comes to food, so we decided to hire a lovely local guide named Laura to give us a tour of this food manufacturing region.
Our tour began at a small factory that produces Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. According to the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese consortium, this cheese is a true miracle of nature and of the traditions of the people who produce it. It is for the enjoyment of those who seek in what they eat not only nourishment, but also incredible flavor, love for the earth, and respect a lot of respect for nature and its mysteries. Understandably after just a short time on the tour, my respect for this 800 year old tradition had just quadrupled. We looked on as they poured the fresh local milk into these great big tubs that are then brought to carefully controlled temperatures as master cheese makers transform it into the early stages of Parmigiano Reggiano. It takes almost 1200 liters of milk to produce one perfect wheel of Parmigano cheese that will weigh in at about 45 kilos. Only 100% natural ingredients are used, no additives or chemicals whatsoever (now you can understand why so many Italian mothers recommend it as a starter food for babies as they begin consuming solids). Our well informed guide then took us through all the finial stages that the cheese goes through from the various phases of cooling, to salting, and seasoning that each wheel of cheese experiences before it can finally be sampled, certified, and stamped Parmigiano-Reggiano.
After a mouth watering tasting session of the various Parmigiano Reggiano products (aged 12 months, 18 months, or 24+ months), we bid adieu to our hosts and followed our guide on date with none other than the Prosciutto di Parma.
The manufacturing plant chosen for our Prosciutto tour is a medium sized factory with three main products: Prosciutto di Parma, Culatello, and Culatta. We looked on, trying not to salivate too much as hundreds of legs of locally raised ham were hauled in, inspected, weighed, massaged, salted, and stored in various refrigerated chambers for specific amounts of time at accurately controlled temperatures. Our guide explained the whole process to us from beginning to end (which anecdotally happens to be when the master prosciutto sniffer takes a sharp tool made from the bone of a horses leg, stabs the prosciutto in three places, smells the tool, and gives the product a thumbs up or thumbs down). Our guide then expertly navigated our way through the prosciutto cathedral of hanging legs of meats in their various phases of stagionatura that was almost comical. After spending the best part of the day in the company of all this delicious food finally it was time for us to sit down and relax over a well deserved lunch.
The Calicella di Pilastro vineyard and winemakers is set amongst a beautiful backdrop of the Parma countryside. Our hosts graciously provided us with a lovely lunch consisting of their own wine (Lambrusco dellEmilia sparkling red and Malvasia white) which we sampled along with trays of Prosciutto di Parma, Coppa, Parmigiano cheese, roasted peppers, sun dried tomatoes, olives, marinated mushrooms, and warm crusty bread. The food was so plentifully and delicious that soon we had all eaten our weight in prosciutto and cheese, to end proceedings in typical Italian fashion we sipped an espresso and a little grappa to wash it all down!
A little tired, very full but totally happy and satisfied with our weekend tour we parted company with out excellent guide and vowed to come back again!
