The specification book stated that the characteristics of the new Volkswagen Tiguan had to be supported. In plain talk this means that the car should have maximum reliability, enjoyable driving characteristics on almost all surfaces and agility and the engineers at ABT have done a good job: the successful 2.0 TDI version now offers strong 170 HP/125 kW (series standard: 140 HP/103 kW) or 195 HP/143 kW (series standard: 170 HP/125 kW). With the economical turbo petrol engine with 1.4 litre cubic capacity a dynamic 210 HP (154 kW) is available instead of the standard 160 HP (118 kW). The fact that the fuel consumption does not increase as a result is a matter of course at ABT Sportsline. The sportiest Volkswagen Tiguan facelift is the one with the 2.0-TSI engine. The machinery is currently undergoing extensive testing but the technicians have already revealed that depending on the series performance either over 210 HP (154 kW) or as much as 250 HP (184 kW) will be reached.

Volkswagen Tiguan
Volkswagen Tiguan is a compact crossover vehicle (CUV) built by the German automaker Auto 5000, based on the PQ35 platform of the Volkswagen Golf. Production started in the winter of 2007 in Wolfsburg, Germany, and started selling shortly after. All Tiguans are four-cylinder powered. The Volkswagen Tiguan was announced at the 2006 Los Angeles International Auto Show held in November 2006 as a concept vehicle. The production Tiguan was released at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, and debuted as a 2008 model for Europe and elsewhere and in North America as a 2009 model. Sales of the Tiguan in Canada began in April 2008. As of 2011, more than 700,000 Tiguans have been sold worldwide since September 2007. The Tiguan's largest markets (in order by sales) are Europe, Russia, the United States, China, Brazil, and Australia. The Tiguan is available in two bodystyles and three specification levels, they are:- Tiguan Trend & Fun
- Tiguan Sport & Style
- Tiguan Track & Field
The Trend & Fun and Sport & Style both have maximum approach angles of 18 degrees, while the Track & Field has a 28-degree maximum approach angle.
In The Netherlands another version is delivered namely the Comfort & Design. This is basically a Trend & Fun to which some accessories have been added. This version was created by the Dutch distributor for the Dutch market. In the UK, trim levels are S, Match, Sport and Escape. Tiguan was tested by the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) and received a five-star safety rating.

The Trend & Fun specification is the entry level road oriented Tiguan. Features it includes are six airbags, ESP, Trailer Stability Program integrated with the ESP, Isofix child seat anchorages on the rear bench and electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, RCD 210 radio with integrated CD player, Climatic semi-automatic climate control system, four electric window lifts, electrically-adjustable and heated outside mirrors, Multifunctional Display Plus (trip computer), RF remote control of central locking and various storage compartments and bins. In addition over the Trend & Fun the Sport & Style has these features, 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome roof rail, chrome strips on front bumper and surrounding side window lining, tinted windows, sport seats with height-adjustable lumbar supports center console with folding and height-adjustable armrest, folding front passenger seat, drawers under the front seats, folding table and storage pockets on the backs of the front seats, leather for steering wheel, gear shift knob and gear shift boot, fabric seats with Alcantara accents, cruise control system and tire pressure indicator. The off-road oriented Tiguan features a redesigned front module with a 28-degree approach angle, hill descent assistant, modified driving pedal characteristic, EDS adaptation (electronic differential locks are activated at the slightest slip), ABS adaptation (which aids with braking on loose substrates), hill ascent assistance, automatic transmission gear level pre-selection (including optimal engine braking effect), 16-inch San Diego alloy wheels, tire pressure indicator, black roof rails, engine underbody protection, compass display and special door impact guard strips. The Tiguan Track & Field is also equipped with Comfort seats which feature adjustable lumbar support. This makes the vehicle particularly nimble, considering its 202" overall lengthAs part of a marketing strategy by Volkswagen the name was chosen by the public through the Auto Bild group with over 350,000 voters through Auto Bild's magazines and Web sites. The other possible names were Namib, Rockton, Liger, Samun and Nanuk. Tiguan is a combination of the German words Tiger (tiger) and Leguan (iguana).

At the 2007 Michelin Challenge Bibendum in Shanghai, China, Volkswagen showed the Tiguan HY MOTION study powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. The fuel cell produces an output power of 80 kW and the electric motor has 100 kW. These figures give the Tiguan HY.MOTION a top speed of 150 km/h and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 14 seconds. The lithium-ion battery has a charge capacity of 6.8 ampere-hours and is an auxiliary energy storage system. Power output from the lithium-ion battery is 22 kW. Battery charge is recovered from braking energy or the hydrogen fuel cell. The 2010 model year was the beginning of the Tiguan R availability in the European markets. The import version of Tiguan appears on the Chinese market in 2009, but soon a locally built version (aka Shanghai-Volkswagen Tiguan) was revealed at 2009 Guangzhou Motor Show. The Chinese-built Tiguan uses 1.8TSI (118 kW) and 2.0TSI (147 kW), and has a revised front facia. At the same time the import Tiguan is still sold in China, which has 2.0TDI and R-Line kit as highlights. The basic design of the import model is the same as the international one. In order to differ locally-built and import models, Shanghai-VW Tiguan is given a Chinese name, known as ?? (tuguan), and the import one keeps the original letter name. On July 17, 2010, the GM of Shanghai Volkswagen, plus the company's public relations chief and two other executives of the company, died in a company-owned VW Tiguan in a high-speed traffic accident. According to Chinese media reports, Shanghai VW General Manager Liu Jian and PR chief Zeng Jialin, plus two other executives, were traveling at 220 km/h (140 mph) far exceeding the expressway maximum of 110 km/h (68 mph) when the Tiguan hit a truck and burst into flames.

The Citron DS3 will be the first model from Citron's brand new DS line, a product range consisting of three distinctively styled, attention-grabbing models that highlight the very best of Citron's 'crative technologie.'
With razor sharp styling and a visually-arresting design, Citron DS3 is a radical take on the compact urban vehicle and a contemporary breath of fresh air for the class.
Designed to meet the requirements of even the most demanding connoisseur, Citron DS3 offers an extensive array of style, personalisation and quality materials for a bespoke and refined driving experience, whilst at the same time embodying the very latest Citron technology including fuel-efficient, environmentally-considerate engines.
STUDIO STYLING
Citron's creative talent for innovative vehicle design manifests itself on every feature of the Citron DS3.
From all angles, the car's undeniable on-road presence and refreshing style is evident with stand-out elements such as the colour-contrasted 'floating roof', 'shark fin' B-pillar and sleek design of the front LED lights - a desirable feature usually seen on premium models.
Inside, the atmosphere in the cabin is one of class and contemporary elegance with an exceptional attention to detail and an extensive use of luxury materials such as leather and chrome. The upper part of the flowing dashboard echoes the floating roof. Thermo-coated components are used throughout - an organic, soft grain
Offering freedom of expression, the innovative Citron DS3 provides extensive levels of personalisation - both inside and out.
In addition to a range of body shades, the Citron DS3's distinctive 'floating' roof is available in a choice of four colours - Black, White, Blue and Red - to contrast with the main body of the car. The wing mirrors and rubbing strips can also be personalised in colours or smart chrome finish and the wheels and wheel centres are available in a wide spectrum of colours.
Inside, Citron DS3 can offer further personalisation with the dashboard strip - which encompasses the air vents, instrument cluster, multi-function screens and even a scented air-fresher - in a choice of six finishes.
The modern seat upholstery design is available in a variety of coloured fabrics and leather; even the gear knob can be tailored in five different trims, combining satin-finish chrome with an array of colours and leather. The smart chrome touches which adorn the Citron DS3's cabin will also be available in a satin-textured finish. You can even carry a bit of your Citron DS3 with you thanks to each distinctly styled Citron DS3 key fob featuring a disc coloured to match your choice of body paint.
ENERGY AND ELEGANCE
Proving that environmentally-considerate motoring doesn't mean having to compromise on style or performance, the Citron DS3 will be available with a choice of five CO2-efficient Euro V power plants consisting of two HDi diesel units and three BMW co-developed petrol engines, combining refined performance with strong fuel economy.
The two HDi diesels - a 90bhp and an 110bhp - are fitted with Citron's lauded DPFS (Diesel Particulate Filter System) and the three petrol engines - VTi 95, VTi 120 and THP 150 - are fitted with either 5 or 6 speed manual gearboxes.
Fully in line with Citron's commitment to producing cleaner, more environmentally considerate vehicles, the two HDi DPFS engines will deliver ultra low CO2 emissions of just 99g/km and 115/g km, whilst the petrol units will emit between 136/km and 160g/km.
LOST IN SPACE
Both enjoyable and easy to live with, the Citron DS3 combines high-end style with practical versatility, creating an exceptionally spacious cabin out of its compact external dimensions - a Citron speciality.
One of the smallest vehicles in its class - 3.95m long, 1.71m wide and 1.46m high - the Citron DS3's interior belies its neat frame, setting a new class standard for spaciousness. The result of extensive work on the architecture of the car's interior design, occupants can enjoy levels of roominess normally associated with models in the segment above.
A 'raised' dashboard design creates increased amounts of front leg room whilst the slender front seats and intelligent rear design increases space for rear occupants with all passengers able to enjoy five full-sized seats and ample arm, leg and headroom.
The Citron DS3 also boasts the largest boot in its class at 285-litres, and for additional load capacity the 60:40 split-fold rear bench can be tumbled forward in a single, effortless movement.
FUN AT THE WHEEL
A cockpit-inspired driving position puts the driver firmly in control with a sports-styled instrument cluster featuring three conical dials, small-diameter wheel and low-slung, body-hugging seats. Citron DS3 delivers a nimble driving experience with a turning circle of around 10.3m also making it a surefooted companion for manoeuvring around cramped urban environments.
Building upon Citron's extensive experience in producing smooth running-gear, Citron DS3 delivers impressive ride comfort together with responsive road-handling and dynamic poise. Drivers also benefit from excellent body roll control, responsive and confident cornering thus providing a secure and fulfilling drive.
I.C.E. COOL
Citron DS3 is available with Citron's latest in-car technology such as the integrated MyWay satellite navigation unit which incorporates a sophisticated audio and multimedia system, wide format colour screen, MP3 and WMA compatible CD player and Bluetooth hands free kit. Providing exceptional acoustic clarity, the audio system benefits from a third speaker in the middle of the upper dashboard as well as an amplified subwoofer mounted in the boot for a broader frequency response and immersive audio experience.
A convenient range of driving aids will also be available including cruise control with speed limiter, and an intelligent indicator which recommends the optimal moment for gear changes allowing drivers to improve their fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions.
PLAY IT SAFE
The Citron DS3 is designed with an emphasis on robustness, strength and optimum safety to ensure protection for all occupants. For reassuring control in any driving situation Citron DS3 models will feature as standard ESP, ABS with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and EBA (Emergency Brake Assist) as well as six airbags and Isofix anchor points on the rear side seats.

Volkswagen 235-hp 35 Edition GTI
VW 235 Edition GTI is really a jump in horsepower to 235 horsepower, or 25 far more ponies than the currently great standard GTI. The name of the special edition VW arrives like a tribute to the simple fact that the GTI continues to be available in Europe for 35 decades. Not so within the U.S., however, so the name may need to change if it in fact reaches our shores. C/D factors out the first GTI hit the States in 1983, so the 30 Edition title might be a strong chance. Obviously, meaning the 35 badging about the doorway sills, seats and fenders will require to go, but we're guessing the deletes won't be a lot trouble in any respect.Volkswagen 235-hp 35 Edition GTI

Volkswagen Phaeton
The Volkswagen Phaeton is a full-size luxury sedan/saloon manufactured by German automaker Volkswagen, and is described by Volkswagen as their "premium class" vehicle. It was introduced at the 2002 Geneva Motor Show, and marketed worldwide.
The name Phaeton derives from Phaton, the son of Phoebus (or Helios) in Greek mythology, by way of the phaeton auto body style and the type of horse-drawn carriage that preceded it.
The Phaeton body is fabricated and painted at the large Volkswagen works at Zwickau, Germany, and the completed bodies are then transported about 100 km by special road transport vehicles to the Transparent Factory. Most Phaeton engines, the W12 being the notable exception, are built at the VW/Porsche/Audi engine plant in Gyor, Hungary.
As of 2007, powertrain options for the Phaeton include the following engines. 4motion permanent four-wheel drive is the only driveline system available. A front wheel drive only configuration was available with the 3.2L engine during MY 2003 and 2004 only.
For the 2011 model year the Phaeton was once again the recipient of a facelift. It was first seen at the Beijing Motor Show. The car gets a new front fascia to more closely resemble the current Volkswagen styling direction, first seen on the Golf Mk VI. (Note: the front will not be in black like the Golf, but in chrome.) This includes new LED running lights, bi-xenon headlights and a new bumper with LED fog lights. The rear LED clusters have been altered as well to mimic those found on the recently facelifted Toruan, Sharan, and new Touareg. The interior benefits from some new technologies as well, but retains the 2009 MY layout. The Phaeton will have two different versions: a normal wheelbase and long wheelbase. The Phaeton will also offer a 5-seat layout or an optional 4-seat layout. In the 5-seat version, the front seats can be adjusted 12 ways. It will have standard features like all-wheel drive, air suspension, and 4-zone automatic climate control. It will also have a multifunction steering wheel that can be ordered in leather or wood-leather.

2011 Volkswagen Jetta Canada Concept Technology
The 2011 Volkswagen Jetta for years has felt more upscale than its competitors, offering a premium vehicle experience not found in other segment cars. The all-new 2011 Jetta at least in upper trim level does a nice job of advancing the Volkswagen Jetta mystique. As before, theres a quality to the overall feel of the car that belies its new lower price. The perception has been for at least a decade that you may pay more for a Jetta, but you get more. Volkswagen has sought to keep the get more part of the equation intact for 2011 Volkswagen Jetta while tweaking the pay more part in favour of the customer.
The new 2011 Volkswagen Jetta says it has cut prices to the tune of $6,300 for the base Trendline model, which now starts at $15,875. And its possible to drive off in an up-level Jetta Highline with a 2.5-litre 5-cylinder engine making 170 horsepower matched to a 5-speed manual and loaded with such desirable amenities as navigation, keyless start, simulated leather, a full-featured audio system with satellite radio, Bluetooth, and a wide range of safety features for $26,235. So this price cutting begs the question, from where did these savings come? We like to think Volkswagen has made better use of its resources, streamlined the manufacturing process, and passed the savings on to the car-buying public. This is certainly a possibility, but VW has also made changes to the car aimed at cutting cost.
On paper, some of these alterations appear to be taking a step backward, but we found through a couple of weeks of driving in eastern North Carolina, northern California, and the Los Angeles area that Volkswagen has done an excellent job ensuring that the Jetta has lost little of its Teutonic prowess particularly in the upper trim level. Changes include the following: replacing the independent rear suspension with a less expensive torsion beam setup, replacing the rear disc brakes with drum-type brakes on the bottom trim levels, replacing the electric power steering with the more traditional hydraulic power steering, replacing the gas-strut linkage in the trunk with old-style gooseneck hinges, and offering far fewer equipment combination choices.
Despite the perceived downgrades, we found the driving experience nearly identical to the well-done 2010 model. Theres one big difference that should make current and former owners smile and prove a strong selling point even against the aforementioned mid-sized sedans a noticeable increase in passenger space.
In Canada, the Jetta is being sold with five trim models: Trendline, Trendline, Comfortline, Sportline, and Highline. For now there are two gasoline engine choices, the long-running 2.0-litre 4-cylinder generating 115 horsepower and a delightful 2.5-litre 5-cylinder making 170 horsepower
and 177 pound-feet of torque. The Trendline and Trendline models are only being offered with the
2.0-litre engine. The Comfortline is available with either engine. The Sportline and the Highline are only.
The choice here is a no-brainer. We would look beyond the base Trendline model, which comes with
the 2.0-litre, and opt for the Comfortline at $21,175 with the excellent 5-cylinder engine, or if budget allows, move up to the Highline. We found that the 2.5-litre had rewarding performance in all driving
situations mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. It can accomplish a 0-to-60 run in around 8 seconds, excellent time for an engine rated at 9.1 L/100 km city and 6.5 L/100 km highway when
mated to the 6-speed automatic. If you consider the smaller engine for gas consumption, forget it. It actually averages 0.5 litres more per 100 km city and 0.4 litres more on the highway.
The switchgear is intuitive, the gauges clear and easy to read, and the standard navigation system in
our test car was simple to operate. What we did notice inside was a little less Audi and a little more
plastic than the previous car. But the workmanship fit and finish appeared first class. We think the new Jetta styling offers a mixed bag a bit disappointing to us, but safe and inoffensive. The Jetta lost some of its allure in 2005, especially with the younger generation, going from a somewhat timeless shape throughout the first half of the decade to a trendier look.
Sales dipped and the fall-off was attributed more to the styling than any other single element. Maybe thats why the designers this time decided to present a conservative stance eschewing the trendy for a look that should stand the test of time and offend no one. The new Jetta is what we think of as handsome, but it wont turn heads.

| 2011 Volkswagen Jetta Interior |

Volkswagen Routan
The Volkswagen Routan is a seven-seat minivan and rebadged variant of the Chrysler RT platform, with revised styling, content features, and suspension tuning from the fifth-generation Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country. Manufactured alongside the Chrysler and Dodge minivans at Windsor Assembly and marketed in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, the Routan debuted at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show and went on sale in the United States in September 2008. The Routan's minivan nameplate variants including the discontinued Plymouth and Chrysler Voyager (North America) along with the currently marketed Dodge Caravan, Chrysler Town & Country and Chrysler Grand Voyager (export) have ranked as the 13th bestselling automotive nameplate worldwide, with over 12 million sold. The Routan resulted from a 2005 partnership between Volkswagen and DaimlerChrysler. Prior to the agreement, Volkswagen had no minivan model for the United States or Canadian markets. VW announced in an early 2008 projection that the company intended for the Routan and other models to help achieve significant expansion of U.S. sales. The Routan is Volkswagen's first van offered in North America since discontinuation of the Volkswagen Eurovan in 2003, and is not related to the European-market Volkswagen Touran. As with its rebadged variants the Dodge Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country, 2009 Routan models were recalled in June, 2010 for a fire hazard stemming from an improperly routed wire harness.Volkswagen Routan Video Review - Kelley Blue Book - VW
The Routan features a rebranded version of Chrysler's hard drive-based audio and navigation system marketed by Chrysler as the MyGig system and by Volkswagen as the Joybox, but has neither Chrysler's Stow'n Go nor Swivel'n Go seating systems. Instead, the second row seats in the Routan feature the Easy Out Roller Seat system. Routans as of 2010 offer optional Wi-Fi access. The Routan is available with the Chrysler 3.8 L V6 producing 197 hp (147 kW) and 230 lbft (312 Nm), and the 4.0 L V6 producing 251 hp (187 kW) and 259 lbft (351 Nm) with either engine mated to Chrysler's 62TE six-speed automatic transaxle with manual shift capability (See Ultradrive#62TE). For 2011 Routan is available with new engine from Chrysler 3.6 L V6 producing 283 hp (211 kW) and 260 lbft (353 Nm) mated to six-speed automatic from Chrysler.VW of America had projected for the Routan to gain at least five percent of the US minivan market, or 45,000 units of the 700,000 minivans sold currently. In January 2009, VW of America asked Chrysler Canada to stop production of the Routan for the month of February after 29,000 Routans had been shipped to US dealerships. 11,677 units had sold by July 2009. Volkswagen de Mxico markets the Routan alongside the Transporter (marketed locally as the Eurovan), replacing the European-built Volkswagen Sharan minivan in the autumn of 2008.Volkswagen Canada began selling the Routan during the autumn of 2008. Like its United States counterpart, VW Canada had not featured a minivan in its vehicle lineup since the discontinuation of the Eurovan. For the four months that the Routan minivan was on sale in Canada in 2008 (September through December), the company sold 335 units.
